SAS
SAS began its company life in 1976 and was called SAS Institute because the name SAS (by itself) was already taken by another incorporated company. SAS (pronounced sass) was an acronym for "Statistical Analysis System." SAS software is developed and distributed by the SAS Institute of Cary, North Carolina. It is one of the top 10 independent software vendors in the world and the leader in decision support and data warehousing. |
SPSS 16 and 17
SPSS (originally, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) was released in its first version in 1968, and is among the most widely used programs for statistical analysis in social science. Amos provides you with powerful and easy-to-use structural equation modeling (SEM) software. Create more realistic models than if you used standard multivariate statistics or multiple regression models alone. Using Amos, you specify, estimate, assess, and present your model in an intuitive path diagram to show hypothesized relationships among variables. |
Stata 11
