The Microsoft Imagine Academy was an online training resource available for those in the LSU community who are interested in tapping into over 300 Microsoft e-learning courses, many of which lead toward information technology industry certifications. This included over 100 collections of e-learning courses, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Lynx, Project, Visio, Sharepoint Designer, Sharepoint Workspace, Office 365, Windows Server, Windows OS, SQL Server courses, .NET, Visual Studio, Digital Literacy, and many other courses.
Imagine Academy has changed and is no longer offered this way, however there are still several offline courses available via the GROK article Overview below.
For additional information see: Microsoft Imagine Academy: LSU Overview.
Under the LSU Microsoft Campus Agreement, Operating systems are upgrades only to a previously purchased operating system, which means that a computer should be bought along with a Microsoft operating system in order to use operating systems available under this campus agreement. However, applications like Office Suite or OneNote need not be purchased with the computer and can be installed at any time after the purchase.
Products covered under the campus agreement may be installed on LSU owned machines, but may also be installed on one machine at home. After leaving LSU, faculty, staff and students must uninstall their copy of the software, and will be ineligible to receive future upgrades. Please contact ITS for more information..
