The license file is included within the JMP files provided here. Be sure to read through our documentation regarding installation and activation of JMP for further instruction.
If you are having issues installing JMP, please reach out to servicedesk@lsu.edu to request assistance. Note that you will need to right click and “Run as administrator” to successfully install.
If you cannot download the SID file, try right clicking the link and then choose “Save Link As…” to download the file. On Mac, opening it and Command + S saves the file.

MATLAB is a numerical computing environment and programming language. Created by The MathWorks, MATLAB allows easy matrix manipulation, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs in other languages. Although it specializes in numerical computing, an optional toolbox interfaces with the Maple symbolic engine, allowing it to be part of a full computer algebra system.
Students can use the software via VLAB and can download directly via the MatLab website using the following instructions: MatLab: Create a New Account or Sign In

SPSS AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) is an add-on module for SPSS. It is designed primarily for structural equation modeling, path analysis, and covariance structure modeling, though it may be used to perform linear regression analysis and ANOVA and ANCOVA. It features an intuitive graphical interface that allows the analyst to specify models by drawing them. It also has a built-in bootstrapping routine and superior handling of missing data. It reads data from a number of sources, including MS Excel spreadsheets and SPSS databases.The SPSS software is made available under the Louisiana State University license agreement with SPSS.
