Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff can use VMware software under specific program usage guidelines free of charge for academic research and classroom instruction.
Students can install this software on their personal computers as part of their coursework or research projects.
NOTE: The VMWare client is different from VLab, the virtual desktop offered to all members of LSU which allows access to Computer Lab software remotely. You may install VLab virtual desktop with the following instructions: Virtual Lab (VLab): LSU Overview & Download. If you are having issues accessing software on VLab such as SPSS, please reach out to email@example.com for assistance.
To download VMware client, please send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org from your LSU Email Address to be added to the VMWare IT Academy Portal which now hosts all VMWare licensing & downloads.
Requests sent from other email addresses will not be given access to VMWare client.
