Provided by ESRI
For Students, Faculty, Staff, Grad Students, TSPs

PLEASE NOTE: ArcGIS Desktop is being retired in 2025, and the main client will transition to ArcGIS Pro. Pro will include the functionality of Desktop along with additional up-to-date features. We would recommend utilizing Pro and transitioning in 2024 for the best experience.

Further licenses will not be generally available for ArcGIS Desktop in 2025; please reach out to software@lsu.edu if there are any issues with the transition.

For general questions or help with the transition, please see the resources provided by Esri at: ArcMap Continued Support

You can access ArcGIS Pro downloads on Tigerware here:  ArcGIS Pro on Tigerware

ArcGIS is a system that lets you easily author data, maps, globes, and models on the desktop and serve them out for use on a desktop, in a browser, or in the field via mobile devices, depending on the needs of your organization. Desktop GIS enables advanced spatial analysis, model operational processes, and visualize results on professional-quality maps.

This application allows for offline use of ArcGIS. If you are looking for ArcGIS Pro, please see the following link to sign in via myLSU and download Pro apps: https://grok.lsu.edu/article.aspx?articleid=20412

For additional info, please see Esri ArcGIS: LSU Overview
